1. Who we are and scope
GHAMA TRADE LLC ("GHAMA TRADE", "we", "us") is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA, dedicated to the import, export and commercialization of food products and raw ingredients. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to ghamatrade.us and to the communications we exchange with people who contact us through it. Personal information we receive under a signed supply, purchase or service contract is also handled under that contract.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you send a quote request or write to us, we collect:
- Your full name and email address.
- Your company name and country, if you provide them.
- The product of interest, estimated volume and any details you include in your message.
- Any information contained in emails, attachments or documents you send us afterwards.
Please do not send sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health data or bank card numbers) through the contact form.
Information collected automatically
- Form records: the date and time of each submission and the IP address it came from, which we use to prevent spam and abuse.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of the request, for security and to keep the site running.
- Fonts: this website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google's handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools on this website. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use it
- To answer your request, identify suitable suppliers and prepare quotes and proposals.
- To communicate with you about an inquiry, an order or a shipment.
- To verify the companies we trade with and screen them against sanctions and denied-party lists, as described in our Food Safety & Trade Compliance policy.
- To prepare and keep the commercial, customs and food-safety records that trade requires.
- To protect the website, detect spam and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you. We will only send you marketing emails if you ask for them, and every such email will include a way to unsubscribe.
4. Legal bases
Where data protection laws require a legal basis (for example, the GDPR in the European Union or similar laws in Latin America), we rely on:
- Steps before a contract: preparing a quote you asked for.
- Performance of a contract: delivering an order you placed.
- Legitimate interests: running our business, verifying counterparties, keeping the site secure and defending legal claims.
- Legal obligation: tax, customs, food-safety and sanctions recordkeeping.
- Consent: where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only when needed for the purposes above:
- Service providers that host this website and our email, under obligations to protect the data and use it only to provide their services.
- Trade partners involved in your request, such as suppliers, producers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, inspection agencies, laboratories, insurers and banks, to the extent needed to quote, ship, document, insure or pay for the goods.
- Authorities such as customs, food-safety and tax agencies, when required by law or to support required filings.
- Professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality.
- A successor company in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. No sale of personal information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Because we trade internationally, information may also be sent to suppliers and logistics partners in the countries involved in a shipment. When we transfer personal information from regions that restrict transfers, we use the safeguards those laws allow, such as contractual protections.
8. How long we keep it
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Quote requests that do not lead to an order | Up to 3 years from the last contact, then deleted |
| Records of orders, shipments and payments | As long as required by applicable tax, customs and food-safety recordkeeping rules |
| Server logs kept by our hosting provider | According to the provider's standard retention |
We may keep information longer when needed to resolve disputes or comply with a legal obligation.
9. Security
We protect personal information with reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and form records stored where the public cannot reach them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal retention duties.
- Object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email info@ghamatrade.us. We will verify your request using the information we already hold and reply within the time required by law, normally within 30 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon, may have the rights listed above, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of; browser signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change how we process data. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will answer the appeal in writing.
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories described in section 2: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (products and volumes of interest) and professional information (company and country), for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them only to the recipients in section 5.
12. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
